We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Tutor to provide face-to-face tuition in students' homes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people build confidence and achieve academic progress across core subjects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition in core subjects (English, Maths, and Science)
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs and abilities
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Work with students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Track progress and provide feedback where required
  • Travel to students' homes for in-person sessions

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' tutoring or teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of core curriculum subjects
  • Experience supporting students with SEN and working with EHCPs is essential
  • Comfortable working face-to-face in students' homes
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred
  • Flexible and reliable with availability during school hours
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week

Desirable Qualifications

  • PGCE and/or QTS
  • Additional SEN qualifications or training
