Job Overview: Looking for a rewarding role in education? Supply Staff Ltd is seeking a qualified Design and Technology Teacher for full-time, long-term positions and day-to-day supply work across Surrey. This role is suitable for teachers with experience across Design and Technology, Food Technology and Art. As a Design and Technology Teacher, you'll inspire students to develop practical, creative and problem-solving skills across these subjects. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress and collaborate with colleagues. The ideal Design and Technology Teacher will hold a PGCE and QTS or QTLS, and early career teachers are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across D&T, Food Technology and Art.
  • Inspire creativity, practical skills and technical knowledge across all three subjects.
  • Assess and monitor student progress across design, technology, food technology and art.
  • Collaborate with other Design and Technology Teachers, Art Teachers and school staff.
  • Support school academic goals and exam preparation.

Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS certification.
  • PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology, Food Technology, Art or a combination of these subjects.
  • Passion for teaching creative and practical subjects.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Early career teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply.
  • Full compliance with standard UK school safeguarding regulations.
