Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Job Overview: Looking for a rewarding role in education? Supply Staff Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for full-time, long-term positions and day-to-day supply work across Somerset. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with special educational needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their potential. You will work closely with teachers and wider school staff to provide tailored support and promote positive learning and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN in accessing learning and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
  • Assist teachers with learning activities and classroom management.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A patient, supportive and adaptable approach.
  • Passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply.
  • Full compliance with standard UK school safeguarding regulations.
