Job Type: Full-Time Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day Supply

Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Somerset. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with their learning, development and day to day classroom activities. Experience supporting pupils with SEN would be ideal, although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with classroom activities, learning tasks and schoolwork.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
  • Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs where appropriate.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and general school activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs would be ideal.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
