Job Overview
Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced and caring Nursery Nurses to work across nursery and Early Years settings in Somerset.
As a Nursery Nurse, you will support young children with their learning, development and day to day care while helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
Experience supporting children with SEN would be ideal, although this is not the main focus of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with learning, play and development activities.
- Encourage children's communication, confidence, independence and social development.
- Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
- Provide appropriate support to children with SEN and additional needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment.
- Work alongside nursery practitioners, teachers and other staff to support children's development.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or within a relevant Early Years setting is required.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs would be ideal.
- Good understanding of children's development and Early Years practice.
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
