We have day-to-day supply work available, alongside potential longer-term placements covering staff absence, sickness and maternity leave. These opportunities are suitable for qualified teachers with experience or a strong interest in supporting primary-aged pupils with special educational needs. You will be working with children who may have a range of additional learning, communication, developmental and behavioural needs, helping them access education in a supportive and structured environment. Lesson planning and marking are provided for these placements, allowing you to focus on teaching, pupil progress and classroom management. Key Responsibilities Deliver lessons and activities to primary-aged pupils with special educational needs. Adapt teaching approaches to meet pupils' individual learning abilities and requirements. Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom. Support pupils' academic, social and personal development. Encourage engagement, communication and independence. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff. Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching primary-aged pupils. SEN teaching experience is highly desirable. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A patient, flexible and understanding approach. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
