Supply Staff is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support schools across the London borough of Havering. This Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs within education settings.
Job Overview
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teachers and students to provide academic and emotional support within the classroom. The successful Learning Support Assistant will help students build confidence, engagement, and independence within education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support as a Learning Support Assistant
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Support students with additional learning needs and SEN
- Help students develop social and communication skills
- Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- DBS on the Update Service
