About Us: Our client works with Adult Learning Services and education providers across London to place experienced vocational assessors. We are seeking a qualified Childcare Assessor for a full-time, long-term position supporting Early Years learners across workplace settings.

Job Overview: As a Childcare Assessor, you will assess learners working towards Early Years and Childcare qualifications in real workplace environments such as nurseries. You will observe practice, review evidence, support portfolio development, and ensure learners meet awarding body standards. The ideal Childcare Assessor will hold a childcare qualification and an assessor award (CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent). Experience in Early Years assessment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out Childcare Assessor observations in workplace settings.
  • Assess learner evidence against Early Years qualification standards.
  • Support learners in completing e-portfolios and progressing their qualifications.
  • Provide clear feedback to help learners achieve their Childcare Assessor goals.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Liaise with employers, nurseries, and internal quality teams.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or above Early Years/Childcare qualification.
  • Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent).
  • Experience in Early Years, childcare, or vocational training.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of learners.
