The Role
As a History Teacher, you will inspire students to explore historical events, understand different perspectives, and develop critical thinking skills. You will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage curiosity and academic achievement while helping students build a deeper understanding of the world around them. This opportunity is ideal for experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs looking to further their career in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages.
- Inspire students to understand historical events and perspectives.
- Encourage analytical thinking, discussion, and independent learning.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
- Support students in preparation for assessments and examinations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives and school activities.
Requirements
- QTS or QTLS certification.
- PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for History education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
- ECTs/NQTs are encouraged to apply.
