We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide high-quality, personalised tuition and support to students with additional needs in their homes. This role is ideal for someone patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition sessions in core subjects, adapted to individual learning needs
  • Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and learning difficulties
  • Work closely with students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), following targets and recommended strategies
  • Build trusting and positive relationships with students and families
  • Use creative and flexible teaching approaches to engage learners who may have struggled in mainstream education
  • Monitor progress and provide session feedback where required
  • Travel to students' homes to deliver face-to-face tuition

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Experience delivering tuition, teaching, mentoring, or therapeutic support
  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and behaviour management strategies
  • Experience working with EHCPs is essential
