Job Overview
Supply Staff Ltd is recruiting reliable and confident Cover Supervisors for day-to-day supply opportunities in primary schools across Nailsea.
This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with children in an educational setting who can confidently supervise pupils, follow the teacher's instructions and maintain a positive learning environment.
Lesson planning and marking are provided, allowing you to focus on supervising pupils and supporting classroom routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
- Deliver work and instructions provided by the class teacher.
- Maintain a calm, safe and productive learning environment.
- Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Respond appropriately to classroom queries and situations.
- Follow school policies, including safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising children in a school or educational setting.
- Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A responsible, adaptable and professional approach.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Relevant education or childcare qualifications are desirable.
