We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Tutor to provide face-to-face tuition in students' homes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people build confidence and achieve academic progress across core subjects.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition in core subjects (English, Maths, and Science)
- Adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs and abilities
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Work with students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Track progress and provide feedback where required
- Travel to students' homes for in-person sessions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of core curriculum subjects
- Experience supporting students with SEN and working with EHCPs is essential
- Comfortable working face-to-face in students' homes
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred
- Flexible and reliable with availability during school hours
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week
Desirable Qualifications
- PGCE and/or QTS
- Additional SEN qualifications or training
Pay Additional Information
£25-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Flexible hours available - Sessions primarily delivered during school hours.
