We are currently looking for a calm, organised and hard-working individual who is ambitious and committed to their role as a teaching assistant to support a lovely year 3 class. This is an ideal role for those passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential and make excellent academic progress and is also a good opportunity for anyone considering entering the teaching profession long term.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the teachers and the senior leadership team by providing support within the classroom and in the playground.
- Support pupils with special educational needs and low level learners.
- Support pupils to follow high behavioural expectations.
- Work 1:1 with some pupils with additional needs, and lead on running interventions in and beyond the classroom.
- Understand the responsibility of safeguarding pupils and reporting any concerns to the safeguarding lead.

Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a classroom based setting.
- Familiar with the primary curriculum.
- Have an Enhanced DBS disclosure on the update service or be willing to complete a new application.
- Have strong and clear communication skills.
- Be able to provide at least two professional referees.
