A welcoming primary school in Leicester is looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be supporting a Year 1 pupil throughout the school day, both within the classroom and during break and lunchtime periods when required. The Role:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Immediate start
- Ongoing until July 2026
- Supporting a Year 1 pupil on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting within the classroom to support learning and engagement
- Supporting the pupil during breaktimes and transitions where required
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable
- Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Hold a relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
