As a Toddler Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the nursery’s mission to provide the highest quality of learning and care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Toddler Room Team: Supervise and support a team of practitioners to ensure high standards of care and education.

  • Planning and Organizing Activities: Develop a stimulating program of activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and cater to the developmental needs of toddlers.

  • Ensuring Safety and Well-Being: Take responsibility for the security and well-being of all children in the room, maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

  • Supporting Child Development: Observe, assess, and report on each child’s progress. Work closely with the team to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

  • Engaging with Parents and Carers: Build strong relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child’s development and encouraging them to be active participants in their child’s learning journey.

  • Experience with Toddlers: Previous experience working with children aged 1-3 years, particularly in a leadership or senior role, is essential.

  • Passion for Early Childhood Education: A creative and caring nature, with a genuine interest in supporting young children’s growth and development.

  • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills: Ability to work well with children, parents, and team members, providing clear direction and guidance.

  • Knowledge of EYFS: Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and how to implement it effectively in a nursery setting.

  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
