We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the CF3 area of Cardiff for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about supporting their early learning and development. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to help create a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities.
- Work with small groups of children to develop early literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
- Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Encourage positive learning behaviours and participation.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide general support across the Nursery class as required.
Qualifications:
- Has experience working with young children, ideally within a school, nursery or childcare setting.
- Is patient, caring and enthusiastic.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Is proactive and willing to support all aspects of classroom life.
- Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
