Supply Hive Wales is looking for a caring, resilient and experienced Nurture/SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist school setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to young people who may require additional emotional, behavioural and learning support.
The RoleYou will be supporting pupils who may present with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), SEN, SEMH and behavioural needs. The role will involve building strong relationships, helping pupils regulate their emotions and supporting them to engage positively with their education.
You may be working:
- 1:1 with individual pupils
- Supporting small nurture groups
- Helping pupils with emotional regulation
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
- Supporting pupils back into the classroom and learning environment
- Building positive, trusting relationships
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Calm, patient and nurturing
- Resilient and confident when managing challenging behaviour
- Experienced supporting SEN/ALN or SEMH needs
- Able to build strong relationships with young people
- Proactive and able to use their own initiative
- Passionate about supporting pupils who need extra guidance and encouragement
This is an immediate start position for an initial two-term placement, with the potential for the right person to make a significant impact within the school.
