Supply Hive Wales are working closely with a welcoming primary school in the Cardiff area who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery and Reception team in January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about Early Years education to support children at the very start of their learning journey.
The role:
- Supporting pupils in a Nursery and Reception class setting
- Assisting with classroom routines, learning activities, and play-based learning
- Helping with personal care and emotional development
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider Foundation Phase team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children aged 3–5 (school, nursery or childcare setting)
- Is patient, kind, and enjoys supporting young learners
- Can use their initiative and contribute positively to a team environment
- Holds a valid DBS or is willing to apply for one
