Secondary English Supply Teacher - Cardiff
Supply Hive Wales is looking for English teachers who love bringing texts to life to cover lessons in secondary schools across Cardiff. If you can walk into a new classroom and get a group talking about language, stories and ideas, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
- Teaching English to pupils from Year 7 to Year 11, and sometimes sixth form, following the department's plans
- Covering everything from poetry and creative writing to exam text revision
- Keeping lessons purposeful and classrooms settled, even with groups you're meeting for the first time
- Marking work and leaving clear notes so the class teacher can pick up where you left off
About you
- QTS, with English as your specialist or a strong second subject
- Registered with the EWC as a school teacher (or able to register)
- Confident with behaviour, adaptable and happy to arrive at a new school with a smile
- An Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service
