1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary, Vale of Glamorgan
Supply Hive Wales is looking for steady, caring people to work one-to-one with secondary students with special educational needs in schools across Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan. If you're the kind of person a young person can rely on when the day feels a bit much, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
- Supporting one student through their school day, in lessons and at unstructured times
- Helping them manage transitions between lessons and settle into learning
- Working with teachers to adapt tasks and resources to suit their needs
- Building trust, encouraging independence and celebrating progress
About you
- Experience with young people with SEN or ALN – in school, care, youth work or family life
- No TA qualification needed – we'll chat through your experience and suitability before you register
- Calm, consistent and understanding, even on the tougher days
- Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service
What we offer
- £14.31–£15.38 per hour, paid weekly every Friday
