The role of the Education Resourcing & Compliance Consultant is an integral part of our business. You will be responsible for safeguarding children in nurseries and schools across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Your key accountabilities will be:
- Candidate resourcing; candidate attraction through various job boards, placing and responding to adverts, referrals and generating new ways to source candidates.
- Candidate compliance; candidate registrations online and face to face, processing candidate applications ready to be placed into schools and customer service for candidates (and clients where necessary), whilst keeping up to date with relevant legislation such as KCSIE, DfE, APSCO.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will learn the fundamentals of working in Education Recruitment. Following a strict vetting process and annual audit, Supply Heroes are members of APSCo's Compliance+ Standards, which set the precedent for our organisation's fundamental processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Your ultimate priority is to vet and check candidates correctly against APSCO Compliance+ Standards and industry standards before they are placed into schools by consultants, communicating with candidates and clients via phone, text message, email and in person.
You will manage a candidate pipeline and assist consultants with sourcing new candidates on job boards using adverts, contacting and obtaining referrals and other new resourcing strategies, booking them in where necessary in the diary for a consultant to meet online/face‐to‐face to begin the compliance process.
Your goal is to support consultants place live candidates into bookings and meet the demands from clients. This requires thinking ahead, responding to new files immediately whilst prioritising candidates through a robust clearance process and adapting quickly to changing guidelines. You will be required to carry out a variety of checks whilst providing the best candidate experience.
Load candidates onto our CRM and generate vetting forms for registered candidates to be issued to schools. Provide candidates with excellent care and guidance through the registration process. Pre‐empt which candidates are due to expire in the upcoming period, notifying both the candidate and their consultants in advance, so the candidates do not have to stop working during an assignment. Scan files and store confidentially. Keep the database tidy. Work centrally and collaboratively in the team and assist consultants and other tasks determined by the needs of the business. Build good relationships with external education recruitment agencies to obtain references and other information quickly and efficiently.
