The Role The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop a passion for the subject and achieve their full potential. Whilst Geography will remain your primary teaching subject, there may occasionally be opportunities to support the wider Humanities curriculum at Key Stage 3, with full support and training provided where required. You will join a collaborative and supportive department committed to delivering engaging lessons, fostering academic success and developing students' understanding of the world around them. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. * Plan, prepare and assess high-quality learning opportunities that challenge and motivate students. * Develop students' geographical knowledge, analytical skills and curiosity. * Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted intervention where required. * Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement. * Support the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral responsibilities. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to secure excellent outcomes for students. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who: * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * Has experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school. * Has strong subject knowledge across KS3 to KS5. * Is passionate about teaching and learning. * Demonstrates high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance. * Can inspire, engage and challenge students of all abilities. * Is reflective and committed to continuous professional development. * Builds positive relationships with students, families and colleagues. * Is committed to improving outcomes and life chances for young people.
