We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Primary Teacher to join a supportive school working within a high needs provision. This role is based in a smaller, structured group setting designed to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and is looking to further develop their career within a specialist educational environment.

About the Role

  • Teaching a small group of pupils with complex and additional learning needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning styles
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress, emotional development, and independence
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records in line with school policies
  • Contributing to behaviour management strategies and individual support plans

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in a primary or SEND setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in developing a career in SEND education
  • Is patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is able to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Understands safeguarding responsibilities and promotes pupil wellbeing
