We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to work within a specialist secondary school setting, supporting pupils with Autism and EHCPs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and wants to make a real impact in a structured and supportive environment. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, helping students to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism and complex needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
  • Support behaviour management using positive and consistent approaches
  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider school teams

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism and EHCPs
  • Experience working within a secondary school or SEN setting
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, resilient and flexible approach
