We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Northfield, Birmingham area. This role is suited to someone with experience supporting pupils with additional needs and who is comfortable assisting with personal care when required and the setting in a Resource Base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN on a one-to-one and small group basis
  • Complex Needs
  • Assist children with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Provide personal care and support pupils’ wellbeing where necessary
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individual support plans

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent relevant qualification
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Willingness to support personal care
  • Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
