Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and welcoming primary school in Alum Rock for an experienced School Administrator to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive administrator looking for a part-time position, working 3–4 days per week.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school office, acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and staff while ensuring administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will undertake a variety of reception and administrative duties, including answering telephone calls, responding to emails, welcoming visitors, maintaining accurate pupil records, and providing general administrative support to the wider school team.
Experience using SIMS and FMS would be highly advantageous, as you will be expected to assist with school management systems and office administration.
The school is looking for someone who is professional, approachable and able to work effectively in a busy school environment, maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent customer service at all times.
About the Role
- September start
- Part-time – 3–4 days per week
- Hourly rate: £14.25 - £16.00, depending on experience
- Front-of-house reception duties, welcoming visitors and parents
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
- General school administration and office support
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Supporting the wider leadership and administration team
- Use of SIMS/FMS systems where required
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working in a school office is essential
- Experience using SIMS and/or FMS is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems
- Professional, friendly and approachable manner
- Able to prioritise workload and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
