Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Primary School

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences and help pupils make excellent progress.

The successful applicant will

  • Be competent in supporting the delivery of the EYFS and/or National Curriculum.
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Offer drive, kindness, enthusiasm, imagination and commitment.
  • Establish a caring and inclusive learning environment with a focus on developing the whole child.
  • Be passionate about achievement for every child and committed to ongoing professional learning.
  • Have knowledge and experience of supporting the delivery of Read Write Inc.
  • Support individual pupils and small groups to achieve their learning objectives.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience supporting children across the primary age range.
  • Knowledge of EYFS and/or the National Curriculum.
  • An understanding of Read Write Inc.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • A proactive, flexible and positive approach to school life.
