Are you a passionate and engaging Psychology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire Sixth Form students? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Psychology KS5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school with a successful Sixth Form in Perry Barr, Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position starting at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role
  • Teaching Psychology at Key Stage 5 within a thriving Sixth Form setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging A-Level Psychology lessons
  • Preparing students for examinations and supporting them in achieving excellent outcomes
  • Encouraging students to develop critical thinking, analytical and research skills
  • Monitoring, assessing and tracking student progress effectively
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Contributing to the continued development and success of the Social Sciences department
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Psychology within a secondary school or Sixth Form setting
  • Has the ability and confidence to teach Psychology at KS5
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
  • Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Is committed to supporting students in achieving their full academic potential
  • Has a positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
