Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school in Acocks Green for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their individual goals.

The school is seeking a positive and proactive male Teaching Assistant who can build strong relationships with pupils and provide effective support within the classroom.

You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to support children with their academic, social and emotional development, ensuring they feel safe, valued and encouraged.

About the Role

  • Based in Acocks Green
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Assist pupils with accessing classroom activities and learning
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team

  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential
  • Male Teaching Assistant (due to the requirements of the role)
  • Experience working within a school or specialist education setting is desirable
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing approach
  • Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
