MFL Teacher (French & Spanish)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking an enthusiastic MFL Teacher (French & Spanish) to join their successful Languages department from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring French and Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence in their language skills and a greater understanding of different cultures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality French and Spanish lessons
• Creating engaging and interactive learning experiences
• Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress
• Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
• Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment activities
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote outstanding teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have experience teaching both French and Spanish within a secondary school setting
• Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
• Be committed to raising standards and improving student outcomes
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
• Be a positive and proactive member of the school community

Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
