This is a full-time position for the Autumn Term initially, with the opportunity to become a long-term role for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional looking to gain experience within education or an experienced school IT Technician seeking their next role. The Role As the school's IT Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the school's IT systems and infrastructure. You will provide technical support to staff and students, maintain hardware and software, and help ensure technology is available and functioning effectively across the school. Responsibilities * Providing first-line and second-line IT support to staff and students * Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues * Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting desktops, laptops and other devices * Supporting classroom technology including interactive displays and audiovisual equipment * Managing user accounts, passwords and permissions * Assisting with network maintenance and system updates * Installing and configuring software applications * Maintaining asset registers and IT equipment inventories * Supporting the implementation of new technologies across the school The Ideal Candidate * Previous experience in an IT support or IT Technician role * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 * Experience supporting networks and hardware infrastructure * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively * Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential In Return, The School Offers * A friendly and highly supportive working environment * Welcoming leadership team and staff * Well-behaved and engaged students * Modern IT facilities and resources * Opportunity to secure a long-term position * Valuable experience within a successful secondary school Safeguarding Statement Supply Heroes is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
