Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving Secondary School and Sixth Form in the Stratford-upon-Avon area for an experienced History Teacher to cover a period of staff absence. This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity starting on 25th September 2026 and continuing until approximately 9th November 2026. The school is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History specialist with previous experience teaching A-Level History, who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high academic standards.

The Role
- Full-time History Teacher position
- Teaching History across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and A-Level
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging History lessons
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
- Supporting students in their preparation for examinations
- Working collaboratively with a successful Humanities department
- Start date: 25th September 2026
- End date: Approximately 9th November 2026
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching History within UK secondary schools
- Proven experience delivering A-Level History
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for History
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities
- Reliable, professional and adaptable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
