Supply Heroes are currently looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming nursery school in Birmingham. This is a full-time opportunity, offering a consistent role within a supportive and positive environment. Candidates must hold a recognised Early Years qualification and be included on the DfE Early Years Qualifications list.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting young children during a crucial stage of their development. You will help to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing setting where children feel confident to explore and learn. Working in partnership with the class teacher, you will help deliver high-quality learning experiences and support children’s progress across the Early Years curriculum. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about early years, shows initiative in their work, and is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting children’s development through play-based learning in Nursery or Reception
- Assisting with the organisation and delivery of creative, age-appropriate activities
- Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress in line with EYFS guidance
- Promoting communication, independence, and positive social interactions
- Providing personal care support where required
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- A recognised Early Years qualification listed on the DfE approved register (essential)
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting
- A kind, patient, and caring approach
- Sound understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
