Date: September 2026 Are you an experienced Primary Cover Supervisor or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience across all primary age groups?
We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis for the entire 2026/27 academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor or a motivated ECT who is confident working across all primary year groups and is looking to further develop their classroom management and teaching skills within a supportive school environment.
The Role As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.
- Support learning and provide encouragement to pupils of varying abilities.
- Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
- Liaise effectively with teaching and support staff.
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour. The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a primary school setting.
- Has experience covering classes or leading groups of pupils.
- Is confident working across all primary year groups.
- Possesses excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Has strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Is reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.
- Holds a relevant qualification or degree (desirable).
