Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to teach motivated Sixth Form students? We are seeking a dedicated Computer Science KS5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school with a thriving Sixth Form in Perry Barr, Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position starting at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 5 within a successful Sixth Form setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging, innovative and challenging lessons
  • Preparing students for A-Level Computer Science examinations
  • Supporting students in developing programming, computational thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Monitoring, assessing and tracking student progress to ensure strong outcomes
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes achievement
  • Contributing to the ongoing success of the Computer Science and wider STEM department

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary school environment
  • Has the ability and confidence to teach Computer Science at KS5
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for technology and innovation
  • Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Is committed to inspiring students and raising attainment
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
