You will work closely with senior leaders, providing high-quality financial insight, forward planning, forecasting and commercial support that enables informed decision-making and long-term financial sustainability.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), innovation, strategic projects and procurement activities across the organisation. You will provide strategic financial leadership through robust forecasting, scenario modelling, performance analysis and commercial insight, while also overseeing procurement operations to ensure value for money, compliance and effective supplier management. The successful candidate will lead major transformation initiatives, drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes, and help develop a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership across FP&A, procurement, innovation and project delivery.
- Support long-term financial sustainability through proactive planning and analysis.
- Act as the senior finance lead for key strategic initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead organisation-wide budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Deliver high-quality scenario modelling and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Provide timely and insightful reporting to senior leadership teams and governance stakeholders.
- Procurement & Commercial Leadership
- Oversee procurement strategy to ensure compliance, value for money and commercial effectiveness.
- Lead supplier relationship management, contract management and category management activities.
- Ensure procurement processes are robust, transparent and aligned with organisational objectives.
- Innovation & Transformation
- Drive finance transformation initiatives focused on automation, technology and process improvement.
- Utilise data, reporting tools and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and insight.
- Champion continuous improvement across financial systems and operational processes.
- Project Leadership
- Lead complex finance and cross-functional projects from planning through to successful delivery.
- Establish clear governance frameworks, project controls and performance measures.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Team Leadership
- Line manage and develop key finance professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, commercial awareness and service excellence.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and professional development support.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and procurement requirements.
- Support effective risk management and financial stewardship across the organisation.
- Shared Services & Continuous Improvement
- Support the ongoing development of finance shared services operations.
- Standardise processes, strengthen controls and improve service delivery.
- Enhance reporting and management information to support organisational performance.
- Executive Support
- Contribute to wider finance leadership priorities.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
- Deputise for senior finance leadership when required.
About You
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Significant experience within a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling expertise.
