The Role

• Teaching English Literature at Key Stage 5 within a well-established Sixth Form
• Delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire a love of literature
• Preparing students for A-Level English Literature examinations
• Assessing, tracking and monitoring student progress to ensure excellent outcomes
• Creating a positive, inclusive and academically challenging learning environment
• Contributing to the continued success of the English department
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching English Literature within a secondary school setting
• Has the ability and confidence to teach English Literature at KS5
• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for literature
• Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student achievement
• ECTs are encouraged to apply
