Are you a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity within a thriving Sixth Form environment? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Biology KS5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school with a successful Sixth Form in Perry Barr, Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position commencing at the start of the new academic year in September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role
  • Teaching Biology at Key Stage 5 within a successful Sixth Form setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging A-Level Biology lessons
  • Preparing students for examinations and supporting them in achieving excellent outcomes
  • Delivering practical and theoretical elements of the Biology curriculum
  • Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress effectively
  • Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages academic success
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Biology within a secondary school setting
  • Has the ability and confidence to teach Biology at KS5
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Biology
  • Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student achievement
  • Has a positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
