Are you a creative, enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking an inspiring Art Teacher to join their successful team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school is looking for an experienced Art Teacher who can inspire students and bring creativity into the classroom. However, applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also encouraged, as the school offers excellent support and professional development opportunities.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspire students to develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Monitor and support student progress and attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting
  • Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
  • Be able to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
