Supply Heroes are looking for a Nursery Teacher to join a vibrant and friendly Nursery in Lozells, Birmingham, 1 day a week. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Early Years, experienced in a nursery setting and have a knack for making learning fun and engaging. This Nursery Teacher role will be starting ASAP and will be for the rest of the academic year on Tuesdays.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Support children's learning, development and school readiness through play-based learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, confidence and independence.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experience of teaching in EYFS, particularly a nursery setting
- In depth knowledge of phonics
- Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
- Creative and innovative in their teaching methods
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A team player who is willing to collaborate with others
- A good communicator who is able to explain concepts clearly
- Flexible and adaptable to the pupils needs
- Have a teaching qualification to teach in the UK
