Salary: £13.70 – £14.50 per hour

Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon‑Fri, Term Time Only)

At Supply Desk, we are currently partnering with both mainstream and SEN/SEMH schools in Worthing and the surrounding areas to provide vital support for children with additional needs. We are seeking enthusiastic Behaviour Support Assistants dedicated to supporting children with learning, behavioural, and emotional challenges. Whether you’re looking for a flexible role with day‑to‑day cover or a longer‑term position offering 1:1 support for children with specific needs, we have opportunities to suit you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with SEMH, helping them access the curriculum
  • Support students in managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
  • Follow the class teacher's guidance to ensure that children's learning needs are met
  • Support with alternative activities outside the classroom, such as sensory play, sports, or outdoor learning
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure individual needs are met and encourage positive behaviour
