Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Windsor, Berkshire, to recruit a dedicated and passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher specialising in Spanish and French for a September start.

This role is ideal for an MFL specialist who is enthusiastic about languages, confident delivering engaging and interactive lessons, and committed to helping pupils develop strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a love of languages.

The Role

As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish and French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils and supporting progress in all areas of language learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Spanish and French lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teaching key language skills including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
  • Preparing students for assessments and GCSE Spanish and French
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
  • Working collaboratively with the MFL department and wider school staff
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Spanish and/or French at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4) (ECTs welcome with relevant MFL teaching placements)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and French
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • An engaging, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style
  • Availability to start in September
  • Ability to commute to Windsor, Berkshire
