Job Description
As our Welsh-Speaking Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. This role combines traditional admin duties with being the friendly face and voice that parents, pupils, and staff can rely on.
You will be responsible for:
Greeting visitors, parents, and pupils in both Welsh and English
Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling enquiries
Maintaining registers, attendance, and school data systems accurately
Supporting staff and senior leaders with a variety of admin tasks
Preparing reports, letters, and presentations using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Managing office duties like filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
What We’re Looking For
Fluent Welsh speaker (spoken & written) – essential
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office & Google Workspace)
Confident, approachable, and proactive attitude
Previous admin experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register
