The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, learning needs, and complex needs.
- Develop and implement effective interventions and personalised learning plans.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
- Promote pupils' academic, social, emotional, communication, and life skills development.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation through tailored approaches.
- Maintain high expectations and encourage independence and confidence in all learners.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN in either a specialist provision or SEN school.
- Strong knowledge of SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties, and complex needs.
- Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- A commitment to inclusion, pupil progress, and safeguarding.
