Supply Desk are seeking a confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Watford from September.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise whole-class lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Ensure students remain on task and complete the work provided.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Support students to remain engaged and motivated throughout lessons.
- Report on lesson outcomes and any behavioural or safeguarding concerns.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
- A passion for supporting students' learning and development.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within schools.
