The Role:

Supply Desk are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School Physics Teacher to deliver engaging lessons, foster scientific inquiry and nurture a love of Physics in Key stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key stage 5) students. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop their career within a positive and ambitious school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to Key Stage 3–5 students (or years 7–12), adapting lessons to different abilities.
  • Plan and deliver stimulating lessons and practical experiments aligned with the curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Promote safe laboratory practices and maintain an organized science environment.
  • Inspire students to explore scientific concepts and think critically.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification/certification (QTS) or relevant classroom experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Physics concepts and laboratory techniques suitable for secondary education.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for motivating and inspiring young learners.
