Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Uxbridge to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a flexible and confident teacher to work across year groups, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting continuity of learning. This role would suit a passionate and adaptable teacher with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, who enjoys variety and is confident covering lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality learning continues while class teachers are released for their planning, preparation, and assessment time.
Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned, engaging lessons across a range of year groups
- Maintain continuity of learning and ensure pupils stay on track
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different age groups and abilities
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Create a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment
- Provide brief feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and engagement
- Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) β Desirable
- Experience teaching within primary education (EYFS, KS1, or KS2)
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Flexible, confident, and adaptable approach to teaching
- Ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in Beaconsfield from September
- Experience delivering PPA cover across multiple year groups
- Strong knowledge across the primary curriculum
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN)
- Confidence delivering a range of subjects, including PE, art, or music
