Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Uxbridge area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years educator to join a nurturing environment and make a meaningful impact at the foundation stage of pupils’ education. This role would suit an engaging and creative teacher with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, who is committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting children’s early development.
As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children during the most important stage of their development, helping to build strong foundations across all areas of learning.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Supporting children’s development in communication and language, early literacy, numeracy, and personal, social, and emotional development
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Observing, assessing, and tracking children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
- Supporting children of varying abilities, including those with SEN
- Encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence through play-based learning
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Desirable
- Experience within EYFS or early years settings
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A nurturing, creative, and engaging teaching style
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work full-time in the Slough (SL3) area from September
- Experience in Nursery or Reception classes
- Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Little Wandle or similar)
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Knowledge of EYFS assessment and progress tracking
- Understanding of safeguarding and early years best practices
