Supply Desk are seeking a teaching assistant with lunch time duties for a primary school in Sholing.

Role details

• Starting from October 2025 – July 2026
• Pay: £80 – £90 per day
• Hours: 8:30 – 3:30
• Location: Sholing
• Contract: Long Term with potential to become permanent
• School: Ofsted rated Good, large 3 form entry, KS2 (Year 6 focus) with lunch-time duties

Supply Desk are currently working with a large 3 form entry school based in the Sholing area who are seeking a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to support them predominantly in a Year 6 classroom. This school is Ofsted rated Good and has a warm and inclusive ethos that supports all children.

Responsibilities

• Desire to work throughout Junior age ranges (7-11 year olds)
• Able to support during lunchtimes to ensure smooth transitions for children
• Work with small groups delivering interventions such as Spelling, Reading, Maths and Literacy
• ICT literate and able to support children with simple ICT tasks

Individual Profile:

• A nurturing and caring nature
• GCSE Maths and English to A-C grade
• Experience of working with children/young people preferably in a school setting
• Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
• Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
• First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
