About the Role:

  • Design and deliver creative, individualized lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN, including those with ASD, SEMH, MLD, and other learning differences
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs
  • Work collaboratively with parents, teaching assistants, and external professionals to support pupils’ holistic development

The ideal candidate will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of abilities and needs
  • Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting every child’s individual learning journey
  • Skilled in adapting teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning needs and promote inclusion
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Collaborative team player, experienced in working closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to deliver effective personalised support
  • Knowledgeable about relevant SEN legislation, assessment frameworks, and best practices in SEND education
